Review:
This track Nicolas Winding Refns drive has some nice camera work and nice colors, but somehow not quite seem to work. Almost every shot goes much too long, and it feels a little cheap, like a movie or TV porn, although I am at a loss to say exactly why and how. Good several entities - including Ryan Gosling, who often find perfect - it seems strange unnatural and out of place a lot of time, it may just be the result of shooting so alien clime.Having said, though some good, maturing in memory of the moments on the road, and Kristen Scott Thomas is a good feeling in just incestuous (but damn foxy) mother. And yes, Ryan is also beautiful to look at when he's getting mashed face, but I miss the genius actor Lars and the Real Girl and Blue Valentine. It certainly would be nice to hear him have more than three lines of the film one of these days.As say, blood-red lighting, textures, lenses, cameras, sound, everything is in place to make it work, but somehow does not. Strange.
